I keep a private family blog elsewhere and I'm getting more and more pissed off about it as the days wear on. I created the damn thing for HIS family, not mine. They bitched and moaned and complained about not ever knowing what's going on. Now that I keep them updated, they don't even bother to read, and, what's worse, they don't even bother to care about their grandkids/great-grandkids/son.
My parents are sacrificing a large chunk of money every month to pay the attorney bills for somene to whom I'm not even legally wed. His parents just went on a vacation to Vegas. Last month, on a cruise to Mexico. Before that? Nebraska. Twice. And Hawaii. Oh, but they don't really have the money to help, their credit isn't good enough, et cetera, ad nauseum. They can't even send a spare $50 to sponsor a goddamn visit.
How can someone abandon their son like that? How can they let STRANGERS, people they've never met, make such a huge sacrifice for their son and their grandchildren and feel okay with themselves? Is it because they've found the keys to salvation through Mormondom and because we've rejected it that we deserve to suffer while they reap the benefits?
I just don't understand. I won't ever understand. I've only known them for 2 years and they have proven to be some of the most inconsiderate, self-centered idiots I have ever met. I didn't even know people like this existed. How can they expect that we'll allow them a relationship with their grandkids when they can't even help us get to a point where we can offer it??
